(Worthy Insights) – The island of Mallorca, Spain, is often seen as an international party destination. For two weeks this summer, however, hundreds of Christians there shared the love of Jesus through boardwalk prayers, beach services, and ocean baptisms.

These young people, mainly from Germany, Switzerland, and Spain, worked with local churches to share the gospel in Mallorca’s nightlife zones.

(Worthy Insights) – Scientists at the Medical Research Council’s Laboratory of Molecular Biology say they’ve engineered a bacteria whose genetic code is more efficient than any other lifeform on Earth.

They call their creation “Syn57,” a bioengineered strain of E. coli — yes, the same bad boy that can make you extremely sick if you eat an undercooked hot dog — which uses seven less codons than all life on earth. A codon, put simply, is a three-letter sequence found in DNA and RNA which delivers instructions for amino acids, a fundamental “building block” of life.

For the past billions years or so, all known life on earth has used 64 codons. Scientists cracked the code detailing which codons corresponded to which amino acids — mapping the standard genetic code, in other words — in 1966, revealing only 20 total amino acids. [ Source (Read More…) ]

Editor’s Note: Scientists may claim they’ve “engineered” a more efficient genetic code in their Syn57 bacteria, but all they’ve really done is tinker with what God already designed. They didn’t create life from scratch, nor did they invent the genetic code itself—they edited an existing system that was already far beyond human invention.

For thousands of years, life has functioned perfectly well with the 64-codon system. The fact that humans had to borrow from God’s design and carefully rewire parts of it only highlights that the genetic code is not random—it’s intentional, complex, and intelligently ordered. If anything, Syn57 proves that life does not “evolve” into better systems on its own; it takes intelligence, planning, and foresight to alter even the tiniest aspects.

In other words, every “advance” that science claims only points back to the brilliance of the original Creator.

(Worthy Insights) – At 13 years of age, Michael Myrand’s father committed suicide without embracing or affirming him. Then a kid at school blamed Michael for his father’s death, telling him, “Your dad killed himself because you’re a {gay slur}.”

Abuse and rejection by boys from kindergarten through high school only reinforced Myrand’s pain and feelings of abandonment growing up without his dad in Michigan, where he lived with his praying mother.

In high school, Myrand became friends with a girl who identified as bisexual. She introduced him to people who, for the first time, accepted him. “I’m getting attention from men. Boys are flirting with me, and I’m liking it. I concluded that I must be gay,” Myrand told a crowd in Oregon on Saturday.

(Worthy Insights) – Evangelist Ray Comfort is known for boldly sharing the Gospel through movies, social media, and other creative means, but the Living Waters founder also has a passion for in-person, one-on-one dialogue with young people.

“I go out twice a day to a local college, and then I go to Huntington Beach on Saturdays, and we film for our television program and for our YouTube channel each time,” Comfort said. “I [also] go on to the local college on an electric bike with my dog on a platform.”

(Worthy Insights) – A Maryland pastor is back home with his family after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and transported to a Louisiana facility where he was held for nearly a month. Despite the hardships he endured in jail, he reports that God used the time to allow him to reach many souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Family spokesman Len Foxwell confirms that Pastor Daniel Fuentes Espinal was recently released on bond and has returned to Easton, MD. “This is the best social media post I’ve ever had the privilege to write: Pastor Daniel Fuentes Espinal is home,” Foxwell said on Facebook.

“His daughter, Clarissa, flew to Louisiana yesterday, picked him up and brought him back to the great State of Maryland,” he said. “Obviously, there remains work to be done. (Worthy Insights) – Months after the U.S. Department of Education rescinded its historic fine against Grand Canyon University (GCU), a Christian college in Phoenix, Arizona, the school has scored another major victory: a separate lawsuit from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) was also dropped.

The FTC sued GCU in late 2023, alleging the school deceived students about costs associated with doctoral studies and had engaged in what it saw as illegal telemarketing practices. At the time, the FTC said the “university, its marketer, and its CEO deceptively advertised the cost and course requirements of its doctoral programs and its nonprofit status, and made illegal calls to consumers.”

(Worthy Insights) – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Tuesday stripped security clearances from dozens of current and former intelligence officials who “abused the public trust.”

Gabbard announced the move in a post on X, releasing a memo that names 37 current and former intelligence officials, some with ties to an Obama-era intelligence assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Gabbard, at the direction of President Donald Trump, “directed the revocation of the security clearances of 37 current and former intelligence professionals who have abused the public trust by politicizing and manipulating intelligence, leaking classified intelligence without authorization, and/or committing intentional egregious violations of tradecraft standards,” said Gabbard in a statement. (Worthy Insights) – Signs of a spiritual awakening are still popping up across the U.S. on a weekly basis this summer, and the latest example was a mass baptism at Pirates Cove in Newport Beach, California, where thousands of believers publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ.

Harvest Christian Fellowship’s Senior Pastor Greg Laurie reports, “We had an incredible day yesterday at the 3rd Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism. We baptized 2,100 people in a single day! Can you believe that? Add that number to the last two years, and in just three years we’ve baptized 8,600 people!”

(Worthy Insights) – FBI Director Kash Patel has uncovered a bombshell memo written in 2017 chronicling the extensive political obstruction that career agents in three cities faced from their own bosses and the Obama Justice Department during the 2016 election as they probed whether Hillary Clinton engaged in a pay-to-play corruption scheme involving her family foundation.

“Shut it down!” then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is quoted as demanding in the detailed timeline of political impediments that agents in New York City, Little Rock, Ark., and Washington D.C. reported.

The agents tried to get the help of federal prosecutors to determine whether or what crimes occurred while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, most notably, because at that time, her family foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests with business before her department. (Worthy Insights) – Many working-class Americans who previously voted Democratic are expressing skepticism about the party being able to regain their vote in future elections, the New York Times (NYT) reported Tuesday.

Several working-class interviewees told the NYT that they struggled with their decisions to vote for former President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. The report comes as Democrats attempt to persuade voters to embrace their ideas ahead of the upcoming midterms and 2028 White House election.

“I think I’m done with the Democrats,” Desmond Smith, a black man who voted for Biden in 2020, told the NYT. Smith told the outlet that he voted for President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

(Worthy Insights) – After President Donald Trump announced a federal crackdown on lawlessness in Washington, D.C., mainstream media outlets and Democratic politicians claimed violent crime in the nation’s capital has “fallen sharply” and has reached a “30-year low.” Their claims, though, rest on questionable police data that local leaders are accused of falsifying to play down the city’s violent crime problem. The Metropolitan Police Department recently suspended a commander for allegedly manipulating that data, a fact the mainstream reports excluded.

Politico reported Monday that “crime in Washington hit a 30-year low last year” despite the president “declaring a public safety emergency in the District” and attempting to “cast the city as dangerous.” NPR’s story stated Trump ordered the federal intervention “despite the fact that violent crime plunged to a 30-year low last year, according to data compiled by the U.S. Department of Justice.” The Guardian similarly claimed violent crime in D.C. “has fallen sharply since 2023” and reached a “30-year low on the day Trump took office” in January.

The hometown Washington Post said that Trump has tried to “cast the capital as overrun with violent youngsters,” arguing instead that crime data “paint a contrasting picture.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

(Worthy Insights) – Several lefty, dark money organizations, including George Soros’, contributed more than $20 million to groups funding protests against President Trump’s crime crackdown in Washington, DC.

Free DC, a “fiscally sponsored special project” of progressive nonprofits Community Change and Community Change Action, brought 150 demonstrators near the White House Monday to protest Trump’s plan to deploy National Guard troops in the district and federalize the city’s police department.

“Do not obey in advance” and “Take up space” are among Free DC’s “guiding principles,” and the group urges supporters to “go outside at 8:00 PM and bang pots and pans, sing, chant, or make noise for five minutes” every night “of this occupation.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

(Worthy Insights) – Liberal cable networks CNN and MSNBC have been citing fabricated statistics in an attempt to debunk President Trump’s claims on Monday about rampant crime in Washington, D.C. Over the past 24 hours, these two networks have cited the dubious statistics over 70 times, while refusing to acknowledge that a D.C. police official was suspended for tampering with those stats just months ago.

Summary of findings:

• Over 24 hours, CNN and MSNBC cited manipulated D.C. crime statistics 73 times.
• Conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings was the only individual on either network to mention that a police commander was suspended for allegedly falsifying those statistics.
• Across both networks, January 6, 2021 was brought up 31 times.

In Mid-may, D.C. police commander Michael Pulliam was put on administrative leave after the police union accused his department of intentionally manipulating crime data. As Paul Wagner at NBC News Washington explained: “The union claims police supervisors in the department manipulate crime data to make it appear violent crime has fallen considerably compared to last year.” [ Source (Read More…) ]

(Worthy Insights) – Arguably the most intriguing and controversial religious relic in the world, the Shroud of Turin, is facing major scrutiny from new 3D findings published in the academic journal Archaeometry. CBN’s Raj Nair spoke with Shroud expert Dr. Jeremiah Johnston to break down the controversy.

RAJ NAIR: All right, my brother, let’s get right to the controversy. What is in this new finding?

DR. JEREMIAH JOHNSTON: Yeah, well, I just kind of laugh when it’s being so boisterously said that the shroud has been debunked. What we’re discussing is a Brazilian designer that used a free software that anyone could use, a free 3D software, to attempt to prove that the shroud could never have been wrapped on Jesus’ body. That was the big finding. And of course, that was what was published, rightly as you mentioned, in the Journal of Archeometry. However, media has just absolutely gone ablaze saying that, oh, the shroud, based on this finding, did not cover the body of Jesus. The shroud has been debunked. Anyone who has spent two minutes studying the shroud begins to laugh because this is not a scientific study. This isn’t even a new finding.

The STURP (Shroud of Turin Research Project) team in 1978, which consisted, Raj, as you know, of 33 of the world’s greatest scientists, most of which who were not believers, concluded that the shroud could not have been caused by contact with the body through a scorch or through a bas-relief. And so what Cicero Moraes, the Brazilian designer, is saying, he essentially took a low relief sculpture and he used all this in 3D modeling, okay? And he wrapped the shroud around it and he said, well, this would have caused the mask of Agamemnon effect. Jesus’ body would not have looked so sharp. It would have been so much more distorted. And that’s what his 3D model is pointing out, except he completely ignores the chemistry. He completely ignores all the forensic aspects of what we now know of the shroud. (Worthy Insights) – A career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade repeatedly warned the FBI beginning in 2017 that then-Rep. Adam Schiff had approved leaking classified information to smear then-President Donald Trump over the now-debunked Russiagate scandal, according to bombshell FBI memos that Director Kash Patel has turned over to Congress.

The FBI 302 interview reports obtained by Just the News state the intelligence staffer — a Democrat by party affiliation who described himself as a friend to both Schiff, now a California senator, and former Republican House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes — considered the classified leaking to be “unethical,” “illegal,” and “treasonous,” but was told not to worry about it because Schiff believed he would be spared prosecution under the Constitution’s speech and debate clause.
